News Letter

news-letter Here is the link to my first assignment of the spring semester of 2008. For this assignment we had to insert a water mark picture, a picture, and break lines. We also had to have dates time and have contacts for further questions. This is a newsletter that would be handed out to the parents of my future students. This will inform the parents of what will be going on for the school year. It includes activities, fund raisers and homework that will be fun and informational to gain knowledge. This will benefit me to be ready with a general idea for each year with students and some guide lines to follow as well. The news letter is a great way to have parents relieved of any worries and a quick way to contact staff if anything were to happen.

Web Site Evaluation

website_evaluation This one was fun I for once was able to give permission and evaluate a web site for students to let them know if it was safe to use. I had to evaluate speed, authority, accuracy, bias, comprehension, contact information, aesthetic appeal, accessibility, spelling, grammar, and clarity of purpose. That is alot of information to to look for and say. Now this will benefit me in a more proffessional way, by letting students use the internet and letting them each know what web site is good or bad to use for information.

Concept map

For this amazing assignment that i had to do, which in fact was amazing, i do not have on file. The thirty day trial expired and took the file with it. Imagine that. I had to be able to make a map as to what a certain subject was, i had to have audio, video and a picture as to what my subject was about. This benefits me in a great deal it is quick easy and very universal to work with. i will assure you that i will be using many more maps like this to help others understand links between definitions and ideas.

Data Base

data-base For this project i have created a database and a series of questions whose answers are found by using the database in Microsoft Excel. The purpose of this was to become more familiar with Excel and how to use its many functions. We had to organize data, and see how we can make specifics organize themselves with just a click of the button. I feel that this one will benefit me if i were to ever have any student organize a list of people with by height, weight, and years etc.

Multi media

multi-mediappt-pdf, For this project w had to create a power point presentation that included 2 still pictures, audio, video, and links to another page. This was a pain for me only because at first i had no idea what i was doing, but after awhile and a little help i was able to do this one. This took up a ton of time and patience. Benefits from this project well where to start? it includes lots of amazing information for the future for me. it makes teaching easy when you don’ have a voice and if you need help explaining what you are teaching. It is very fun to work with and sure to be using it from here on out.

You can view each one of my 5 blogs posted on this web site. For this assignment i had to updated my progression for the semester with multiply subjects. Benefits are slim only because i had to write about what i have learned and how it would affect me. Though it did keep me on top of the game. this helped me in a way that i can make sure i know and understand my studies.

Speard Sheet

spread-sheet This assignment is a chart that will be based on the data in the spreadsheet, and a series of questions whose answers are found by using the spreadsheet and graph in Microsoft Excel. Tough my questions and answers have been deleted I am sure it is common knowledge to come up with simple questions. I will be displaying a chart made by myself and will include my abilities to use spreadsheets and charts to find information. This assignment in particular has helped me understand the versatilities of Excel, it has also benefited me in away that i never saw myself doing in the near future. I have already used my newly developed knowledge on a few project and help others as well on how to do certain graphs and databases together. Futher down the road this program will help me help students understand data much easier.

Lesson Plans

lesson-plan-2, Here is one of two lesson plans my other one was deleted when my computer crashed. For the lesson plans we had to write down our intended grade level and course we will be teaching. We also had to put in curriculum and bench marks as to what we would be teaching for that semester or school year. Benefits for this assignment… alot  i had to look on official Ohio standards in order to have every bit of information we need to know.   For my next lesson plan i will be more prepared for  the real world.

Beneficial Semester

Over the past few months I have been taking this class called EPTP 2020, it is indeed a very interesting class. This class brings your relationship to the technology of computers closer than you would be able to do on your own. In the class you learn how to use Power Point, Excel and Word, in very unique ways that are helpful. This class has been most beneficial in more ways than I thought it would, I thought I knew enough about computers to get me by. I was wrong for assuming I think by far this has prepared me the most for my future so far so early, other classes I do not yet understand as well as this one. In my future thanks to this class I will be able to make teaching more fun and useful to my future peers. It is not what one thing but all that I have learned to use this semester that has and will continue to make computer technology beneficial to me.

Lazy or just to easy to pass up

My experience with technology has developed in many ways, in some i would enjoy having computers available to my classroom in the future and in other i would not want to deal with all the little tedious button pushing and trying to log on to certain web sites. In many schools teachers have resorted to utilizing technology to help ensure learning abilities. As i see it computers make people lazy in a sense they don’t motivate any one to get up and start researching true books. Yet it does make and easy fast way to get homework done when in a hurry. I am indifferent and have my options open for future use, but as of now if i were a  teacher i would not like to have my students use computers. I would just like my students have their options open to different sources as well as i do. Other than that maybe my opinion will change.
